Employee Counselling Service

The Wellbeing Academy Workplace Counselling is an agreed contract between an employer who wants to support the wellbeing of their employees and us.  It is a supportive intervention that is usually short term in nature providing an independent professional counsellor for people working across all sectors and in all working environments.

Workplace counselling aims to give all employees access to a free, confidential, counselling service that can be viewed as part of an employer’s duty of care.

Counselling provides employees, with a safe place to talk about the issues troubling them, and find solutions to problems or develop better ways to manage issues. Counsellors don’t give advice, instead provide a   non-judgmental, empathic and accessible means to allow an employee to find a way forward. Our practitioners are “integrative”, meaning they have trained in more than one core therapeutic approach. Counsellors may be person-centred or have skills in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, or one of several other disciplines.

The Wellbeing Academy counsellors have a vast experience working with employees, and it is often the case that the reason for an individual struggling at work or being off ill from work may be about more than their employment and employer.

Specific issues can resolve themselves using short term therapy (up to six one-hour sessions), but others may take years.  We understand that an employer cannot bear the responsibility for underlying issues or childhood trauma, but competent counselling and a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for permanent healing and recovery.

At the Wellbeing Academy, we have a unique approach to workplace counselling. Our contract with employers is reviewed and renewed each year and has financial benefits for both employer and employee built-in.

Costs:

Option 1 – Up to 50 staff per year

Up to 6 sessions per employee paid by the employer at a rate of £65 per session. 

If further sessions are needed, the employee can continue with the counsellor and will take on the payment of all future counselling sessions. Special rate of £40 per session.

 

Option 2 – Up to 100 staff per year

Up to 6 sessions per employee paid by the employer at a rate of £60 per session. 

If further sessions are needed, the employee can continue with the counsellor and will take on the payment of all future counselling sessions. Special rate of £40 per session.

 

Option 3 – Up to 150 staff per year

Up to 6 sessions per employee paid by the employer at a rate of £55 per session. 

If further sessions are needed, the employee can continue with the counsellor and will take on the payment of all future counselling sessions. Special rate of £40 per session.

 

Option 4 – Up to 200 staff per year

Up to 6 sessions per employee paid by the employer at a rate of £50 per session. 

If further sessions are needed, the employee can continue with the counsellor and will take on the payment of all future counselling sessions. Special rate of £40 per session.
