Psychotherapy

Are you feeling overwhelmed with life?

Are things not quite right and you're unsure why? Or maybe you have a good idea of what's going on, but you're not sure where to start or what to do about it. If any of this resonates, counselling could be the right next step for you.

I am a psychotherapist with over 18 years of private practice and third-sector experience. I work with young people aged 14+ and adults, offering both online therapy and outdoor nature-based counselling.

I specialise in supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or simply a sense of disconnection from themselves or their lives. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to what feels safe and manageable for you. I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind.

Rooted in compassion, curiosity, and mindful awareness, my work focuses on understanding your world, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped you. Together, we explore what truly matters to you and what may be getting in the way of you living in a more connected, grounded, and meaningful way.

Online & Outdoor Counselling for Young People (14+)

I also offer counselling for young people aged 14 and over, either online or outdoors in nature.

Online Counselling

Many young people find online sessions comforting and convenient. Being in their own familiar space can help them open up more easily, and the flexibility can support busy school, exam, or family schedules.

Outdoor/Nature-Based Counselling

For others, being outdoors makes talking feel more relaxed and less intense. Walking side by side or using the surroundings—trees, paths, open spaces—can support self-expression, reduce anxiety, and help young people regulate their emotions.

Young people come to counselling with a wide range of experiences, including:
• Anxiety or low mood
• School or exam pressure
• Friendship or relationship worries
• Family stress or big changes at home
• Identity, self-esteem or body image concerns
• Past experiences that still feel difficult

Sessions are always adapted to the young person’s pace and comfort. For those aged 14–17, I begin with a brief conversation with a parent/carer around practicalities and safeguarding, while keeping the young person’s therapeutic space private and protected.
